Doctor, patients often ask if the tampons are very painful, if they cause significant nasal obstruction, or if they lead to headaches. Of course, we no longer use the tampons that were used in the past. Now, we use silicone tampons that are very thin, soft, and flexible. These are much easier to apply. Since they are perforated, our patients can breathe easily with them. When we remove the tampons, they are soft and flexible, making the process very comfortable, painless, and without causing any bleeding.
