Patients who undergo rhinoplasty should pay attention to several important factors. After surgery, they should especially avoid trauma and high-pressure activities. For example, they should refrain from lifting heavy objects, shouting loudly, chewing hard foods, and drinking hot liquids. Additionally, after the surgery, and particularly for the first 6 months, they should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight. When exposed to sunlight, bruising that occurs during the surgery, especially around the eye area, can become permanent.

Furthermore, after the surgery, it is beneficial to consume cartilage-strengthening foods. For instance, in our Turkish cuisine, traditional dishes like paça soup are very helpful. At least once a week, paça soup should be consumed, or for those who do not like it, there are cartilage-strengthening supplements available, which can be recommended by doctors.

After one or two months, patients can engage in standard exercise, but it is recommended not to do strenuous exercise and to avoid excessive use of the eyes. By following these recommendations, patients can recover in a healthier way.
