1️⃣ Revision Rhinoplasty: Use of Cartilage from the Rib | Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali S. Resul

In revision rhinoplasty, to create a nose that is as close to perfect as possible, we need to establish a solid foundation. For this, the nasal septum must be of high quality and strength. After a previous surgery, the cartilage structure and flexibility of the nose can be compromised. Therefore, we remove the existing cartilage and replace it with a more solid and flexible one. These cartilage grafts are typically taken from two places: the ear and the rib. Our general preference is rib cartilage, as it is abundant and, in terms of quality, stronger and more flexible than ear cartilage.
