Rhinoplasty Technique

In recent years, rhinoplasty has become one of the most commonly performed surgeries. Of course, many techniques are used in rhinoplasty. Generally, there are two main techniques: open technique and closed technique. Each technique has its own advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage of the closed technique is that no incision is made on the front of the nose, which results in less numbness in the nose and a shorter recovery time. However, the disadvantage is that there is limited visibility when working on the structures inside the nose, especially on the tip and nasal septum. This limited view can make it more challenging to perform certain procedures.

On the other hand, the open technique involves a small incision at the base of the nose, which allows for better visibility and access to the nasal structures, especially for more complex cases. However, the disadvantage is that it requires careful post-operative care, including the use of certain creams and lotions to promote healing and prevent complications.
